The complaint in it says the same thing, except they blame the network-they play a game and are disconnected after it launches and starts out fine in multiplayer. If you phrase your context differently, the problem may apply and describe what you are experiencing.

If the game is trying to open ports on the host that it can't keep open because the router or firewall or whatever on the edge can't keep it open for long, you'll get dropped.

Last but not least, the firewall and or internet edge gateway device (if its not a firewall and not a router-to me router's don't have wireless built into them, but then I am a ccie so there's that)

I don't think adjusting the settings in the game beyond a certain point is likely to help. There's no good reason to disable it, and if you increase the size of it and it doesn't get used (or doesn't help) then change it back. You might want to try using perfmon or something to get a feel for what resources are using what. I've seen that on older games-it'd work ok up until like player 4, who then would think its his PC when really the host/server just couldn't handle both playing and serving 3 others.įor 1:1 multiplayer, that would be a bummer if true.Īnyway, if your firend and yourself are stuck with the game, i really truly suggest that you try killing programs off one by one, or in large groups, until there is just you and the game. It could be the host severs the connection because it doesn't have enough memory, kicking the client out, making it seem that the client has the issue when really the host suddenly works ok because it's error condition has just been cleared up. it's more likely the exchange of data between the host and client, and one of the two failing. I agree it isn't a connection issue due to latency or low bandwidth availability on the internet.
